College Library :: Students and staff members should realize that the college library is the most essential part of an its academic activities and intellectual pursuit. We should always try to maintain its dignity in the strictest sense of the term. The library contains text books and other books of importance. The staff, students and library books. The library remains open from 10 a.m. to 4p.m.during all working days .Persons of unsound mind and dirty dress are not allowed to the library. Common rules for the borrowers 1. Library cards are issued to the students at the beginning of the session on production of their card. 2. Library cards are not transferable. 3. Loss of library card should be immediately reported to the librarian. A duplicate card may be issued on payment of Rs.5/-at the library. 4. No books shall be taken out of the library without the knowledge of the librarian, unless it has been entered in the issue register and the entry signed by the borrower. 5. Each borrower must examine the condition of the books before it is issued. Otherwise in case of mutilation discovered latter, the presumption will be against the borrower. 6. Books will be returned within the stipulated period allowed to a borrower. Students may keep books for two weeks .Otherwise a fine of Rs.0.25paise will be charged for each day of delay. 7. All the library books which hare in possession of borrowers will be returned to the library before the college closes for summer vacation or on or before the date notified for the purpose. 8. The library books should be returned immediately whenever a student receives a requisition notice to return the books from the librarian. 9. Books must be returned to the librarian and not to any body else. 10. No marginal or other notes marking shall be made in the library books, nor shall any pictures or pages be removed or turned of otherwise disfigured. 11. Strict silence is to be observed inside the library. 12. Spitting, Smoking, Sleeping and Eating inside the library are strictly prohibited. 13. The librarian will report to the principal about the person responsible for improper use of library and library. 14. A borrower against whom any over due or other charge is out standing shall not be allowed to withdraw the deposit until the library dues are cleared. 15. If any borrower keeps the books his/her possession for more than the time allowed for the purpose no more books will be issued to him or her until the books concerned restored to the library. 16. The books are to be returned by the students before 11a.m. on the day of issue along with the library card and demand slip. 17. The books can not be issued the students before 2.30 p.m. students desirous of reference copies may be allowed after 12 noon on every working days. 18. A book once issued to a borrower may be re-issued to him or he only when nobody wants to take the books. Books before reissued shall be presented before the librarian for the necessary entries in the register. 19. Books of reference, rare text books, current issues of periodicals, courses of studies shall not be issued for use at home without the special permission of the principal. 20. Any book found damaged or defaced by a student borrower must be replaced by him. If the books rarely available and not replaceable, the student borrower must pay an amount up to maximum of double the catalogue price of the book. 21. In those case where the price of lost books can not be ascertained the borrower should pay the amount as compensation fixed by the principal. 22. The following table shows the maximum number of books that may be issued and maximum time permitted to keep the books for various classes of borrowers.
BOOK BANK 1. The Book Bank has a capacity of 543 books for +2 and +3 students. 2. Students desirous of borrowing books from the library will have to deposit20% of cost of books. 3. Senior +2 and +3 students will have to return books before C.H.S.E.or University Examination and junior students before Summer Vacation or date specified by the college. 4. Books should be returned in food condition and in case damage the new book will be replaced. |
