HIGHER SECONDARY COURSE

+2 Science (64 seats)

Compulsory subjects : English, MIL (Oriya), Environmental Education.

Elective subjects : (A Candidate has to offer all four elective subject such as 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th mentioned below)

Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & Biology.

+2 Arts (256 seats)

Compulsory Subjects : English, M.I.L. (Oriya), Environmental Education.

Elective Subjects : A candidate has to offer four elective subjects such as 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th elective subject out of the following.

(i) Political Science

(ii) History

(iii) Economics

(iv) Logic

(v) Psychology/Education

(vi) Oriya

DEGREE COURSES

Compulsory Subject : English, M.I.L. (Oriya), Indian society and Culture, Population studies, Environmental Studies.

Honours Subject : History (16), Political Science (16)

Pass Subject : (A candidate shall share any one of the following subject as his pass)

Political Science, Economics, History, Psychology, Education, Oriya, Philosophy.

Elective Subjects : Indian Polity, Indian Economy, Land marks of Indian History, Education, Psychology, Philosophy & Oriya.

Note :

A Candidate (Hons. or Pass) shall choose two elective subjects from among the above. Provided that a candidate (Hons. or Pass) offering Political Science, Economy, History, Psychology, Education, as pass or Honours subject shall not be allowed to take Indian polity, Indian Economy, Land marks of Indian history, Psychology, Education, Philosophy respectively as his/her elective papers.

 

+3 Degree Honours Selection

1. After completion of +3 1st year Arts admission, the honours selection will be made on the basis of merit. Applicant must specify choice of Hons in order of preference in the application.

2. Selection of Hons. will be governed by rules and regulations provided by Govt. from time to time.

3. A student securing minimum 40% marks in agreegate in +2 examination and 40% marks in the concerned subject will be eligible for selection into Hons.

4. Names of selected students will be notified in the notice board in order of merit (Subjet wise) for admission in to various Hons. Subjects specifying a date line to payment of required fees otherwise no claim for Hons. seats will be entertained.

 

UGC sponsored add on courses (from the session 2006-07)

1. Functional English

2 Enviromental Auditing

3. Mass Communication (Video Recording)

Any 1st Yr. +3 degree student can choose any one of the above add on course along with the regular course

UGC sponsored Tourism and Travel Management

It is decided to continue T.T.M. in 1st year degree courses from the corrent academic session.

 

Subject/Group Combination

(a) The principal reserves the right to disallow any particulars combination of students subsequently after the admission without assigning any reason.

(b) Any particular combination /combinations of subjects shall not be allowed automatically if less than 16 students (in case of +2 level) and 8 (Eight) students (in case of +3 level) are admitted offering that particulars group of subject.

 

Note :

1. No teaching provisions are available for M.I.L. other than the Oriya, however a student can retain respective M.I.L. of his/her choice or Alt. English.

2. Teaching facility may be extened in Alternate English minimum 24 students opted for the same.

 

Change of subject/subjects/combination

Change of subjet/subjects facility shall be allowed on application received within 15 days after the last date of admission. No chance shall be allowed there after, hence due care should be taken for filling subject column in application form.
