Rules & Regulation :: GENERAL RULES AND DISCIPLINE College students are no more school children but ladies and gentleman and responsible citizens. They are expected to behave like students, devoted to learning and nobler task of academic pursuits and greater mission of nation building. Realizing their sacred duties and responsibilities they should be disciplined, obedient and law- abiding. The following rules and codes of conduct though they may sound authoritarian or an imposition to a miscreant, have been codified to imbibe a sense of discipline and regularity among the institution. The academic session of the college is from June to May in two terms, first term- June to December second term _ January to May. 1. Admission to the college begins after the publication of the H.S.C., C.H.S.E. and University Examination results and continues till the last date prescribed by the University and C.H.S.E. 2. The students above the age of 18 years and the parents or the legal guardian of the students (below the age of 18) are to give an under taking at the time of admission that they would abide by the rules and discipline of the college. In case there is any breach of rule or discipline of the college by any student he/ she will be asked to take his/ her college leaving certificate. 3. The students have to bring their identity cards when they come to the college. They are to produce their identity card whenever or wherever they are asked to do so. 4. Outsiders are strictly prohibited to enter the college campus. Any body found to be moving in the college premises without any genuine purpose., will be handed over to the law and order authorities, if the college authority so feels. 5. The students should not loiter in the corridors and move here and there in the college when they do not have any class. They should make the best utilization of time by going to the reading room or the library. They may also take rest in the students' recreation room. 6. The students should not join any outside club or association without prior permission of the principal. 7. No students or no team can go outside to play or participate in any other cultural or academic activities without the written permission of the principal., if at all they are permitted to go, some members of the teaching staff must be deputed by the principal to accompany them and guide them properly. 8. There will be a discipline committee comprising some members of the staff to look into the matters of discipline in the college. a) Spitting on the walls, floors, pillars, doors and windows of the college is strictly prohibited. b) students are warned not to handle bicycles or vehicles belonging to others. c) Students are warned not to tamper with the switches and fans in the class rooms. They should not mishandle the furniture. Any body doing so would be seriously dealt with. d) students are required to maintain perfect discipline in the class rooms and outside or in any other function of the college. Misbehavior with the girl students will be heavily dealt with. e) Scribbing, pasting placards, posters and other papers disfiguring college walls are strictly prohibited. 9. Students should observe queue while standing before a counter to deposit fees or purchase or fill in forms. 10. Students should not normally enter the office of the principal, if they want to meet her/him on some urgent business, they should take his/her prior permission. 11. There should be no club or society or any other function in the college without permission and approval of the principal. 12. Students are bound to adopt dress code in the campus. Discipline and General Rules i) Splitting on the walls, floors, pillars of door of the college is strictly prohibited. ii) Students should not loiter on the verandah, when they have no classes to attend. They should not disturb the other classes. iii) Students are warned against handling bicycles or other vehicles which are not their own. iv) Misbehaviour of college students at football, volleyball, cricket or other matches will be regarded as a breach of college discipline. v) Students shall not leave the hall or room in the midest or any of the college meetings unless it is absolutely necessary. vi) Students should stand in queue while waiting for payment of their tution fees or for any other purpose. vii) Students are warned against tampering with the light and fan switches. viii) Scribbling, pasting placards, posters and other papers or otherwise disfiguring college walls or paths is strictly prohibited. ix) Students are advised to meet the principal after obtaining his/her permission only in urgent cases. x) Students should not ordinarily enter the college office. xi) All applications of grievances should be handed over to the student grievances cell for complaince. xii) No club or society should be started or maintained in the college and no function should be organised without the approval of the Principal. xiii) Students must abide by such hygenic principles and submit themselves to such antiepidemic measures as would be laid down by the principal from time to time. xiv) Scholarships may be withdrawn at any time if the progress or conduct of the scholar is unsatisfactory. xv) No candidate shall be permitted to sit for a University/CHSE examination unless his/her annual(term) certificate of attendance, conduct and progress or the order of exemption granted to him have been received by the registrar before the commencement of the examination. |
